Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Centre Stage HR collects through this website, why, and what rights you have. Centre Stage HR is an HR consultancy run by Carol Newton, and is the controller of this information.

How to contact us about your data

What we collect

When you send a message through the contact form: your name, email address, message and, if you choose to give them, your organisation and phone number. Please avoid sharing sensitive details about other people in your first message.
When you book a discovery call: bookings are made on BookedYourSlot, a separate booking service. The details you enter there are handled under its own privacy notice.
When you visit the site: our web server keeps standard security logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for a short period, normally no longer than 14 days. To stop abuse of the contact form, the number of messages sent from an IP address is counted in the server’s memory for up to an hour and never written to disk.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

To reply to your enquiry and discuss how we could work together. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
To keep the website secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site and the people who use it (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your information, use it for marketing lists or use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers who help us run the website and email: our website hosting provider and our email provider. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Messages sent through the contact form are deleted from the website database automatically after 12 months. Copies in our email inbox are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or, if you become a client, in line with our client agreement.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It uses one strictly necessary cookie, named session, which protects the contact form against forged submissions and keeps the site administrator signed in. It is deleted when you close your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email us to make a request; we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab), telephone 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if the way we use personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
